TESTIMONY AND STORIES

From Student to Teacher
"When I first arrived in the state, as a newcomer, I did not know what to do. I could not communicate well because I did not know the language. In the fall of 2017, I was invited at the Bridge for a thanksgiving meal and I was introduced to Bridge's staff and I came to know what they do. I started to attend their ESL classes, Civil Classes, and Computer Classes. After a while, I receive a certificate from Microsoft Computer. After, I finished High School, they helped me to enroll into college."

"While in college, I was getting helped at the Bridge Center. Whenever I needed some help, I was not let down. The Bridge staff did not only provide help, they provided help generously with a heart of love and compassion. I felt welcomed as a newcomer and I felt secured and safe because I got the help I mostly needed . After some time, Envision Cleveland launched a Vocational Training Program at the Bridge and I had the privilege to be selected as the first-time student. I started the Business and Programming Training and also started teaching newcomers English as a Second Language."

The Impact of Bridge's Program
"Now, I have a job, I speak English fluently, and I am a citizen of United States of America all due to the programs from the Bridge (Envision Cleveland).
The impact of Bridge's programs, especially Vocational Training Program, ESL Classes and Civic Classes, are evident in the success story that may help to secured stable employment, learning how to start my own business, and continued your education, and breaking the cycle of poverty and transforming people's lives. My story serve as beacons of hope, inspiring others to embark on their own journeys of growth and empowerment through this program."
